Book Buzz – DARK SURF news & goings-on

So what inspired this blog? I’ve written a novel called DARK SURF, which takes place on the North County coast of San Diego. The novel ventures into the dark side of coastal living. Territorial surf punks, great white sharks, killer vampires, paranormal romance—oh yeah, it’s in there. (See a sneak peek.)

Local favorites like real-life restaurants, microbrews and beaches are also sprinkled throughout the story to share a slice of So Cal life.

After I finished writing DARK SURF, I was talking with friends and got to thinking that all these elements could be fun to write about in a blog—and Dark Surf Nightly was born.

In future posts, we’ll explore:

  • Where’s the best place to drink a martini under the stars?
  • What dark indy flicks are worth a watch?
  • What’s the best time to stay out of the water to avoid sharks?
  • How can you make authentic Baja-style fish tacos or killer guacamole at home?
  • … and much, much more.
