Crave – food & drink

Tonight’s post is coming to you from San Francisco, where the 10th annual San Francisco Writers Conference takes place Feb. 14-17 at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins.

One of the city’s most legendary & scenic places to sip a martini is the Top of the Mark skybar, perched on the 19th floor of the hotel. Famed for its 100 Martinis menu, the Top of the Mark features an array of concoctions with gin, vodka, rum, tequila and a plethora of mixers and garnishes. Tonight I sampled The Carnivore—Bombay gin, dry vermouth, and an olive (or twist, if you choose). The $14 price tag probably includes a few bills for the view. The world-renowned sky lounge boasts near-360 degree vistas that showcase the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, downtown and more.

If you’re hungry for something more than an olive or something live, the Top of the Mark offers breakfast & lunch Monday thru Saturday, brunch Sunday, dinner nightly, cocktails every evening, and live entertainment Tuesday thru Saturday.
